I have a Ph.D. degree from PennState in Industrial Engineering & Operations Research with a minor in Computational Science / High Performance Computing.

My Ph.D. was on Operations Research, and my dissertation was about large-scale networks. I studied under the supervision of Soundar Kumara, Chair Professor, Industrial Engineering and Computer Science at Penn State University.

My Ph.D. committee includes the following people at PennState (in alphabetical order):

  • Professor Giles, David Reese Professor of the College of Information Sciences and Technology, Computer Science and Engineering
  • Professor Long, Distinguished Professor of Aerospace Engineering, and Mathematics
  • Professor Rothrock, Professor of Industrial Engineering
  • Professor Yao, Professor of Industrial Engineering

I also have two masters degrees (M.S. and M.E.) in Industrial Engineering. My M.S. thesis was related to information retrieval and search engines, and my advisor was Cenk Ozmutlu, Professor of Industrial Engineering at Uludag University.
